News and Shameless Plugs

So I have blog posts set up already for the next 2-3 weeks. Why? I will be out of town a lot over the next three weeks. I am a youth minister, and summer does bring some busy retreats, camps, and the challenge of VBS!

The cool thing is that I should have time to do some reading/studying over the next few weeks. So...

I want you to help me decide what to blog about. Here are some topics that I am willing to invest my time in, and if you have an opinion, please feel free to let me know:

-A series on the resurrection (historicity, implications for practical theology, and how it effects eschatology)

-A series of practical and spiritual lessons concerning marriage.

-How reality television distorts our ability to understand reality biblically.

-Curious actions of Jesus in the gospel of Mark

I would also like to invite you to read two posts that were top notch:

Are you a Progressive Christian? I would love to hear your thoughts on the progressive movement. What are its strengths? Weaknesses? Should we strive to join the movement?

The call of rural American missions. A really interesting piece. Politically, I believe a ground up redesign of America through the rural network is the only way to revive the economy. What do you think?

If you comment, please feel free to tell me about an article you have read, and I promise to read it tonight!

  2. If I can weigh in for you, I'd love to see/read your thoughts on Jesus as read in the book of Mark.

I love being able to schedule my blog posts, too. Summer is busy and I'm just preparing my posts for the next few weeks as well.
